"I collected sticks for a time; I put them in bags. I collected disposable nylons for a time; I put them in my pockets. One carefully embedded in the other, the tension acting within the individual coupling bound each unit into its own corporeal whole-ness. The pile only grew from there, and yet, can never seem to grow large enough to complete a body on its own. The captured space attests to a vacancy of limbs; while the disjointed and modular nature of the structure recalls an unwillingness to assume any specific shape, a vagrancy of self.
I ask where the self retreats to when forced out of the body, and what that empty space might be filled with as a consequence. "
